Premium DTF Transfer Powder is used as the adhesive stage of the Direct-to-Film printing process. After a design is printed onto DTF film, transfer powder is applied to the printed ink before the transfer moves through the appropriate curing and heat-application workflow.
This product is intended for DTF printing workflows using compatible film, ink, printing equipment, and curing processes.
How DTF Transfer Powder Fits Into the Process
DTF transfer powder is applied after artwork has been printed onto DTF film and while the printed ink is ready for the powder stage.
- Print the artwork: Prepare and print the design onto compatible DTF film.
- Apply the powder: Apply transfer powder according to the requirements of your DTF production setup.
- Remove excess powder: Follow the appropriate process for removing powder that is not part of the printed design.
- Cure the transfer: Use the curing method appropriate for your equipment and materials.
- Apply the transfer: Follow the correct heat-application instructions for the transfer and garment being used.
Use Compatible DTF Printing Supplies
Transfer powder is one part of a complete DTF production workflow. The film, ink, powder, printer, and curing process should be selected with compatibility in mind.
For the printing stage, DTF Ink is available as part of the DTF printing supply range.
If your production setup uses roll-fed media, you can also review Premium DTF Film Rolls for DTF printing workflows.
Check Compatibility Before Use
DTF production equipment and material requirements can vary. Before using transfer powder, confirm that it is appropriate for the film, ink system, curing equipment, and production process being used.
Check:
- Your DTF printing setup
- The film being used
- The ink system
- The required powder application process
- The curing method for your equipment
- The heat-application instructions for the finished transfer
Follow Your Production Requirements
Avoid relying on one universal curing temperature, curing time, heat-press setting, or application method for every DTF setup.
Follow the instructions appropriate for your printer, film, ink, curing equipment, garment, and heat press when producing and applying transfers.
Before Starting Production
Confirm that the materials used throughout the workflow are appropriate for one another before beginning a production run.
Preparing the film, ink, transfer powder, curing process, and application equipment as one compatible workflow provides a clearer production setup than treating each supply as an isolated component.
